[A] The Visitation of Newtownmanor Cemeteries is on Sunday next, 9th August 2009. 
We begin with Mass for the Faithful Departed in Newtownmanor Church at 5.30pm. 
Blessing of the graves will follow immediately afterwards in Manor New Cemetery & 6.OOpm 
and continue in Carrickatemple Cemetery alt approximately 6.3Oom. 

Please park all cars facing downhill from the Manor Church ~ and on the left hand side of road 

only.

[D] Breifne Historical Society ~ spanning the Diocese of Kilmore ~ has set up an interesting 
new web - site. Check it out at: www.breifnehistorv.com 
[E] Mass at the Holy Well, Killargue on Saturday 15th August at 5.00pm ~ weather 
permitting. Due to the heavy rain that has been falling, the ground around the Holy Well can 
be quite dangerous and is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Don't take chances! 
[F] Friday next is the First Friday. Visitation of the sick and housebound will take place on Friday, 
Saturday & Monday. Each one concerned will be contacted beforehand. 
[G] We remember: Mickey Loughlin, Gortnaskeagh, Newtownmanor whose death occurred 
on Friday. Funeral Mass in Newtownmanor Church this Sunday morning, 2nd August, at 
10.00am. 
We also remember: JamesMe Ternan, Drum/ease Road & Greaghnafarna whose funeral 
took place on Monday last 27th July. May they rest in peace!

7. Dromahair Demon Festival was a great success again this year. It was good to see over 
100 children take part in the parade and the day's events and the evenings entertainment were 
appreciated by all. Thanks to the organizing committee, sponsors and all who helped.

Diocese of Kilmore & Drumlease - Killarque Parish: Swine Flu Advice. 

Swine Flu - A(H1N1) - is highly contagious & is transmitted 

(a) Largely person to person, spread by droplets from the respiratory secretions of infected individuals. 
(b) By contact with contaminated surfaces. 
Because of the method of contamination it is important not to sneeze or cough into other people's space 
or face. Use disposable tissues if coughing or sneezing. Clean hands are vital too. Keep them clean! 
The diocese recommends: l.That all those who have flu symptoms should not attend church services. 
2. That clergy & ministers of the Eucharist use hospital type sanitizer. 

3. That people read the HSE guidelines regarding precautions to take. Remember the HSE booklet sent 
to you? 
And the parish has decided that (i): We will dispense with the sign of peace for the time being. 
(ii): That all should receive Holy Communion in the hand to prevent cross contamination.
