The Special Annual Diocesan Vocations & Support Services Collection is due since last 

Sunday 29th April 2012 ~ Vocations Sunday.
You will find the Red Diocesan Services Collection Envelope in between your April & May Dues
Envelope.
Or simply use an ordinary envelope, marked Diocesan Services. Thanks for your generosity.


You will also find a flyer in your Dues Pack detailing the uses to which this Collection is out. 

In the Diocese these include: Adult Religious Programme, Parish Renewal.
Youth Ministry, Child Protection Services.
Accord ~ Marriage Preparation ~ and the Education of Priests.
In addition the Diocese has to contribute to CURA and the Commissions of the Bishops Conference for


Emigrants, Prisoners Overseas, Catholic Education, Peace, Justice. Ecumenism,
Liturgy & ThePress and Information Office. It also helps fund the Regional Marriage Tribunal.


Last year the parish was levied for €10,574 with Dromahair contributing €5,005; Killargue €3,066 and
Newtownmanor €2,503. Your contribution this year is much appreciated. Do your best!

[A] Trocaire: 
Thanks to all who brought in their Trocaire Box/Envelope already or contributed to the 
Special Trocaire Collection on Easter Sunday. Any remaining contributions welcome! 
There are also some dedicated Trocaire envelopes at the back of your church. 
Place your envelope in the Collection basket this weekend or next weekend: Saturday ~ Sunday. 
[B] If you are travelling to the Eucharistic Congress, please read the boxed notice at the bottom of page 2. 
N.B. Advance bookings can only be made up to and including the 3* May~ that is next Wednesday. 
After that date all bookings will be on site at the RDS during the week of the Congress.

[F] Practice for the Sacrament of Confirmation: St. Patrick's Church, Dromaha/rtMs Friday 11th May at 
8.30pm. 
All those to be confirmed and their sponsors/parents are asked to be in their place on the dot 
of 8.30pm ~ Evening Mass concludes only 5 minutes earlier. 
The Sacramemt of Confirmation will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church at 3.OQpm next Sunday. 13f May.

4. The Real McCoy will be staged in the Bee Park Resource Centre on Saturday 19th May at 8.00pm sharp. Proceeds in 
aid of Newtownmanor Hall Car Park Fund. Please put this date in your diary and support your local community. It's great fun. 
KiliarQue Cemetery Appeal. 
The Cemetery Committee is making a special appeal to people, who have yet to contribute to the Repair Fund, to do so in 
the next week. 

The commencement of the work is dependent on how soon sufficient funds are available.
It will take approximately €100 per plot to complete the work.


In order to facilitate people who want to contribute, members of the Committee will be in
Killaraue Community Centre on Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th May from 9.00pm - 10.00pm.

Are vou going to the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in June? 

If sufficient numbers are going from the parish, we will run a bus on our own or in association
with neighbouring parishes. At present it is intended to run a bus for the Family Pay on Tuesday 12th June
and the Final Celebration on Sunday 17th June. We need to know the numbers soon.
