GENERAL / CHURCH NOTICES, 

[A] Each parish in Ireland is asked to hold a special collection this year and next year in support of the
forthcoming Eucharistic Congress in 2012. The collection in this diocese was due this weekend.
However, since we didn't get to give advance notice last weekend, this collection will now be 
taken up next week, 12th & 13th June after Communion in each church, 

[B] There will be a special Mass for Examination Students in St Briaid's Church, Kit lanaue \ti\s 
Saturday ifJune at 8.00pm. Good wishes to all who are sitting examinations at this time. 
[C] The Visitation & Blessing of Graves in Killargue and Qoonloughervi\\\ take place on Sunday 4th 
July and in Newtownmanor Cemeteries on Sunday 8th August and will follow the same time 
pattern as last year. Please tidy your family plots in advance of these dates. Fuller details later. 
[D] The Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage takes place on Sunday 2(fh June, beginning at 230pm. It 
is hoped to run a coach for this event.

[E] Pilgrimage to the Holy Land ~ 13th -22nd October 2010: Direct flight from Dublin.

2. Tennis in Killargue: Coaching continues to take place every Thursday. If it is raining or looking like rain, 
parents or players are asked to contact Patti Reynolds at 9164115 or call to the Post Office to check if 
coaching is going ahead. 
3. Leckaun Parents' Association are holding their Summer Sale on Sunday 13th June after Mass. 
Items include cakes, buns, dvd's, cd's, books and so on.

5. There is a Clothes Bank in the Depot grounds. If you have old clothes for disposal, why not bring 
them there. Your contribution will help parish finance and various charities. Currently people are leaving 
out bags of clothes at their houses to be collected by purely commercial operators & do not help the parish. 
6. The Domestic Violence Advocacy Service offers support and information to women who are 
abused by a partner, ex-partner or family member. Get information on our website at

7. The Irish Cancer Society wishes to acknowledge the receipt of €254.35 from the recent church 
- gate collection. The Society wishes to thank all concerned for their generosity. 
8. Dromahair Defibrillator Group: Next meeting at 8.00pm on Friday 11th June in The Depot. 
9. Dromahair Play - School ~ Enrolment for September 2010: Priority for children qualifying for the 
Free Early Childcare Pre -school Year announced in the 2009 Budget. To qualify your child must have been 
bom between 2nd February 2006 and 30th June 2010. Parents of children outside the birth date, are 
welcome to enquire about availability if their child is 2years 10 months or older. 
10. Judging in the Tidy Towns Competition starts on the 1st June. It would be most helpful if each 
householder and business person would be responsible for cleaning up litter and spraying weeds outside 
their premises. With embargos on funding and recruiting, the Rural Social Scheme cannot get everything 
done. So the co-operation and participation of everyone in the village and its environs is vital.
