This Sunday, 8th January 2012, we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord. Jesus is anointed with the power of the Spirit and proclaimed Messiah. He now goes about doing good, working the signs & miracles that make him known as the servant of God, He is the one who brings good news to the poor and tells of salvation. Through baptism each Christian shares in the life of Christ ~ as Priest, Prophet & King ~ and the Father looks on us with favour.
