Sunday 11th March 2012 ~ The Third Sunday in Lent 

On this Third Sunday in Lent we continue our pilgrimage in Faith ~ a journey which leads us to the celebration of the Death &
Resurrection of Jesus at Easter ~ our promise of eternal fulfillment.
Today, we interrupt the reading of St. Mark's Gospel and for the next three Sundays we turn to the Fourth Gospel.
The traditional symbol for St. John is the Eagle, perhaps because of the clarity and breadth of his vision of who Jesus is
& in particular, his portrayal of the glory that is His even in his hour of suffering and death.


For all of us, may Lent be a time to pray again as a family, a time to re - asses our own lives, to care for body and 
soul, a time to reach out to people in need too. 

This Wednesday, 14* March, there will be an Early Morning Mass for Lent in Dromahair Church at 7. 00am. 
now available at the bade of vour church. Please take one home! 

During Lent, Ttie Rosary will be recited in Dromahair after weekend Masses and
W minutes before Mass in Newtownmanor & Killargue Churches ~ for those who wish to participate.


Change of Pattern for the Coming Week


Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Newtownmanor and on Friday evening at 7.30pm in Dromahair.
On both evenings Mass will follow at 8.00pm.


Ttiere will be no Stations of the Cross this week ~ but we hope to resume on the 22nd & 23rd of March.
