Visit of Eucharistic Congress Belt
From 18th -29th May 2011, a special bell, symbol of the Eucharistic Congress will begin its
pilgrimage around the Diocese ~ and this parish near the end of May.


It will arrive at the factory turn, R 280, on the afternoon of Friday 27th May and be carried to 
Killargue Church for a short prayer service. 
From there it will be carried to Dromahair Church by way of Soxline & Drumlease Road arriving after 7.00pm. 
There will be a prayer service and vigil on Friday night and early on Saturday morning 
28th May. Then the bell will be carried to Newtownmanor Church for a short prayer service and from there 
to Shanvaus Cross where it will be handed over to Manorhamilton Parish. 

Thanks to the many people who generously volunteered in each church area. 

A Meeting will be held soonwith the volunteers & leaders to discuss details. More news later.

indicated it was due on Sunday 24th April ~ but the publisher got it wrong! 
Your contribution is actually due today ~ Sunday 15th May, which is Vocations Sunday ~ but you can 
still bring it in next Sunday.

April & Mav DuesEnvelopes.

[C] North Leitrim/West Cavan PTAA: Annual Mini - Vigil in St. Patrick's Church, Dromahair on Friday 
27th May 2011 starting at 9.00pm and finishing at midnight. 
This Vigil will coincide with the visit of the Eucharistic Congress Bell which will probably arrive by 8.00pm. 
Further details next week. This is an opportunity for all of us to reflect on the Eucharist. 

[D] We remember Rose McGovem, Drumlease Rd., Dromahair whose funeral Mass will celebrated in 
Dromahair Church this Sunday morning 15th May at 11.15am. Burial in Killargue Cemetery.

First Communion for the children of Drumlease N.S. will be 
celebrated in 
St. Patrick's Church. Dromahair next Saturday 21st Mav at 11.00am 
and 

First Communion for the children of Leckaun N.S. will be celebrated in 

Newtownmanor Church on Saturday 11th June atll.SOam. 

Visitation & Blessing of Graves in Killaroue & Cloonlouaher will take place on Sunday 3rd July and in 

Newtownmanor on Sunday 7th August and may follow the same pattern as last year. Please tidy your family 
plots in advance of these dates. Fuller details will be given later when we know what personnel will be available to 
officiate at these ceremonies and celebrate the Sunday Masses in all three church areas

Irish - Speaking Village fora Dav! 
TG4 ~ An G - Team Camera Crew will be at the Pavilion in Dromahair Park ~ Droim Dha Thiar ~ this 
Sunday evening ~ De Domhnaigh 15th May at 7.00pm. Your personal support is needed! 
This is a great opportunity for Muintir Dhroim Dha Thiar and the Local Area to take part in a competition to 
promote Irish Speaking in a fun way for a day. 
If successful the prize of €40,000 will be spent for the benefit of the community.
