GENERAL / CHURCH NOTICES


[A] The Parents of all New and Current Mass Servers are asked to complete & return the documentation they
received at the recent Parish Safeguarding Children Meeting.
The training of new servers needs to commence soon.
[B] Parish Pastoral Council: Short meeting at 8.30pm on Tuesday evening, 18th June, in The Depot, 
Dromahair. Apologies for the change from the following Wednesday evening. It Is hoped all members can attend. 
[C] In October 2014 there will be a Diocesan Assembly in Kilmore ~ a gathering of the Bishop, priests and 
representatives from all the parishes ~ to discuss and take decisions on important issues facing the 
Church in the Diocese. In preparation, Diocesan representatives wish to meet people from every parish to discuss a 
relevant topic. Our parish has been asked to put together a group of people to give their views on the topic of: 
People living alone ~aae 65 plus. The meeting will be an informal chat over a cup of tea.

[D] Knock Pilgrimage Season: April 28th - October 13th 2013. See your church notice - board for details. 
[E] Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock ~ led by Bishop Leo O'Reilly ~ takes place today, Sunday 16th June. 
Ceremonies begin at 2.30pm with the anointing of the sick in the Basilica. 
Why not make a special effort as a family to attend this special Year of Faith Pliarimaael 
[F] First Friday. Some remaining calls will be made on Monday & Tuesday.

We begin with Mass in Killaroue Church at 2.30pm followed by the Blessing & Visitation of Graves in
Killaroue Old Cemetery at 3.15pm approximately & in Killarque New Cemetery at 4.00pm approximately
A Collection will be taken up in all graveyards for continuing upkeep & maintenance.


Blessing & Visitation of Graves in Cloonlouqher Cemetery will also take place on
Sunday 30th June beginning at 5.00pm.

8. Your help would be greatly appreciated in keeping Dromahair Litter Free because there is a major problem at the moment. Business 
owners and residents are asked to pick up the litter in front of their properties to improve the situation. Thanks for your co-operation. 
9. Niall Mellon Township Trust Fundraiser: Once again Gerard Fowley wishes to travel to Kenya, Africa to help build a 
much needed school in a very disadvantaged area. He has organized a fundraising event "Stars in their Eyes"\v\ the Blue Devon on 
Saturday 22ndJune. A fun night with local talent performing as Tina Turner, Elvis, Jedward and many more.
