Dromahair ~ Killarsue ~ Newtownmanor Sunday itf* January 2015 ~ The SecondSunday in Ordinary time. Today is Worid Day of Migrants and Refugees. We pray for those who have come to our shores from other lands. May we treat them with respect and dignity as the children of God, our brothers & sisters in Jesus! We also remember our own people in other lands ~ near and far ~ especially our young people who had to leave their native land due to the economic circumstances. CHURCH NOTICES. [A] From today, Sunday 18th January until Sunday 25th January is the Week for Christian Unity. We are asked to pray for unity between Christians and seek justice too for all people in the World. The theme this year is Give me to Drink ~ the words of Jesus to the Samaritan woman at the well. We too are asked to give to our World, a world in need of food, hope and peace! For Christ has saved us from slavery and so we are asked to act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with our God, [B] Some copies of The Meaning of Marriage ~ A Unique Relationship Different from All Others ~ A Pastoral Statement of the Irish Catholic Bishops' Conference is available at the back of your church.
