Sunday 18th March 2012 ~ The Fourth Sunday in Lent. 

On this Fourth Sunday in Lent we continue our pilgrimage in Faith ~ a journey which leads us to the celebration of the Death &
Resurrection of Jesus at Easter ~ our promise of eternal fulfillment.
Today, we again interrupt the reading of St. Mark's Gospel and for the next two Sundays we turn to the Fourth Gospel.
The traditional symbol for St John is the Eagle, perhaps because of the clarity and breadth of his vision of who Jesus is
& in particular, his portrayal of the glory that is His even in his hour of suffering and death.


For all of us, may Lent be a time to pray again as a family, a time to re - asses our own lives, to care for body and 
soul, a time to reach out to people in need too.

This Sunday is Mothers' Day/Mothering Sunday. 

We ask God to bless all mothers and to give us all the grace to renew and cherish family life in a Christian Spirit.
Today, we remember all those special people who contribute and have contributed so much to us all.
And we remember with affection the mothers who have gone before us in faith.


This Wednesday, 21st March, there will be an Early Morning Mass for Lent in Dromahair Church at 7. 00am.

During Lent, The Rosary will be recited in Dromahair after weekend Masses and 
2O minutesbefore Mass in Newtownmanor & Killarque Churches ~ for those who wish to participate.

[A] This coming Friday evening, there will be Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in
Dromahair Church at 7.00pm. with Stationsof the Cross at 7.3Qpm followed by Mass at 8.00pm.
[B] And this coming Thursday in Newtownmanor Church there will be Exposition & Adoration of the Blessed Sacramental
7.00pm, with Stations of the Cross at 7.30pm followed by Mass at 8.00pm.
[C] Did you make your contribution yesterday to the St. Patrick's Day Offertory Collection? This collection supports 
Kilmore Missionaries abroad ~ especially those in Nigeria ~ in providing education, healthcare and in building up 
Christian Communities. If you have forgotten, please put your contribution in the Offertory Collection Basket 
next weekend.
