[A] The Visitation & Blessing of Graves in Newtownmanor Cemeteries is on Sunday 8th August and will follow the same time pattern as last year, beginning with Mass at 5.30pm. Blessing of the graves will follow immediately after Mass in Manor New Cemetery at 6.00pm and we will continue with visitation and blessing in Carrickatemple Cemetery at approximately 6.30pm. Please tidy your family plots in advance of these dates. All cars should be parked facing downhill from the Manor Church and on the left hand side of the road. Sunday Morning Mass will be celebrated at 10.00am as usual on 8th August. [B] Pilgrimage to the Holy Land: 13th -22nd October 2010: Direct flight from Dublin. [C] Diocese of Kilmore ~ Marriage Preparation Courses: It is Diocesan policy that each couple attending an ACCORD Pre-Marriage Course. Facilitators giving these courses undergo continued in-service training and supervision. And the sacramental aspect of marriage receives appropriate attention. It is a wise practice to do a course up to a year before the date of your marriage. Doing a course only weeks before your wedding makes little sense! All couples are asked to note this request and make suitable & tfme/y arrangements. [D] Thanks to all who contributed to the Spec/a/ Church Collections so far this year. The Second Round of Judging in the Tidy Towns Competition is now underway. It would be most helpful if each householder and business person would be responsible for cleaning up litter and spraying weeds outside their premises. With embargos on funding and recruiting, the Rural Social Scheme cannot get everything done. So the co-operation and participation of everyone in the village and its environs is vital. 5. Leitrim County Development Board ~ Third Level Courses in Carrick-on-Shannon this September: Certificate in Public Relations, Certificate in Journalism, Diploma in Sports Event Management The above three courses will be validated by the Irish Academy of Public Relations. And the following courses will be offered through Athlone Institute of Technology: ACCA Fundamentals, Higher Certificate in Business Studies, Home Gardening & Horticulture, Sign Language Level 1 and Advanced Diploma in Personal and Executive Coaching. Clothing Collection Facility A Container has been placed in the grounds of The Depot Dmmaha/rfor the collection of unwanted clothing ~ ladies', gents' and children's ~ shoes in pairs, leather goods, sheets, blankets & curtains. Please put the above items in plastic bags. Access to the facility is from the Backline and through the steeljfgorleading into the Deootgrounds. Only the right -hand door of the container opens. Turn the lever fully to the left before pulling the door open ~ and you'll need to use a little strength! If you find it too difficult to open the door of the container and are leaving a bag outside, please make sure it is sealed and rain - proof. Proceeds from these collections will aid parish funds
