GENERAL / CHURCH NOTICES. 

[A] The Saturday Evening Vigil Mass in Killargue will revert to 8.00pm on Saturday 3rd May 2008. 
P*] Last Call: Any further Trocaire Contributions -would be gratefully appreciated. 
Thanks to all -who have contributed to date. 

[C] On Saturday night, 26th April at 8.00pm there will be a Mass and Ceremony of Commitment in St. 
Patrick's Church, Dromahair for all the young people receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation in 
May this year. Naturally, parents, guardians and those to be confirmed are expected to be present. 
[D] The Annual Collection in the parish for Diocesan Services / Vocation Sunday is due on Sunday next, 
27th April 2008. 
You milfind the special red Diocesan Services Collection Envelope between your April & May Dues 
envelopes. 
You will alsofind a letter from Bishop Leo explaining the needfor this collection and the uses to
which it is put ~ the only collection held each year to meet a great variety of Diocesan & National
Church commitments. In the Diocese, itfunds the Adult Religious Programme, Youth Ministry,


Accord & Vocations and, nationally, it helps the Church fund CURA and the Episcopal Commissions 

looking after Emigrants, Prisoners Overseas, Education, Peace & Justice, Ecumenism, Liturgy and 

the Press and Information Office. 

This adds up to well over €120,000 per year for our Diocese alone. 

Each parish is levied by Kilmore Diocese in accordance with its population ~ a contribution of €4 
per head this year for every man, woman and child in the 3 parish areas -a total of €12 for a 
household of three. 

Do your best to make your family contribution in accordance with these guidelines. Thanks!

of Martina Feeney, Pullboy) whose funeral took place on Wednesday 9th April in Riverstown.

1. Support your Local Bingo every Monday night in the Abbey Manor Hotel at 9.00pm sharp. 
2. The next Fun Walk in Newtownmanor is this Sunday 20th April at 3.00pm. The starting point is the 
Leitrim Co. Council Water Supply Station in Moneyduff. All welcome. 
3. There will be a major Clean - Up in the Newtownmanor area on Saturday 26th April, starting from the 
church at 11.00am. Please support. 
Bags, gloves and aprons will be supplied and the rubbish will be disposed of by Leitrim Co. Council. 
4. Leitrim Co. Council ~ Cathaoirleach's Awards Scheme 2008 ~ honouring people young and old 
who have given special voluntary service to their community:

5. The revised Traffic Plan for Dromahair may be viewed in the local County Council Office. 
6. Tennis in Killargue: One coaching session per week will be held each Wednesday 
from 6.00 - 7.00pm. The fee is €5 payable at the Court before each session. 
To attend the sessions, Club Membership must be obtained. 
Membership renewal / application forms available from Killargue Post Office or any club officer. 
7. Dromahair U-10 GAA: Football Training for boys and girls, aged from 7-10 years, has been 
postponed until further notice due to the condition of the pitch.

A reflective evening for young people, through the screening of a very good recent movie, will take place in 

The Depot, Dromahair on Monday 21st April from 7.30pm - 10.00pm. 

Open to all second - level students. Admission free. Refreshments will be served.
