Special Collection this Weekend We are all aware of the continuing crisis in Pakistan caused by disastrous flooding. It is estimated that up to 20 million people are affected ~ a greater number than all those affected by the Asian tsunami or the Haitian earthquake combined! Each Diocese in Ireland is holding a special collection for Trocaire's PakistanAppeal at all masses next weekend. This collection will be taken up in our 3 churches after Communion this Saturday & Sunday. Please do your best in difficult times & thank you for your unfailing generosity! GENERAL / CHURCH NOTICES. [A] Worried? Lonely? Under Stress? The Samaritans offer confidential emotional support on their 24 hour helpline: 1- 850 60 90 90. www.samaritans.ie & 1o@samaritans.org [B] Diocese of Kilmore ~ Marriage Preparation Courses: It is Diocesan policy that each couple attends an ACCORD Pre-Marriage Course. Facilitators giving these courses undergo continued in- service training and supervision. And the sacramental aspect of marriage receives appropriate attention. It is a wise practice to do a course up to a year before the date of your marriage. Doing a course only weeks before your wedding makes little sense! All couples are asked to note this request and make suitable & timely arrangements. Please put used candle holders in the dustbin underneath and match sticks on the tray provided. Please do not lift candles already lit to light new ones ~ this scatters grease all over the place and is dangerous as well. Try it the other way round! It works too!
