On this Second Sunday in Lent we continue our Pilgrimage in Faith *• a journey which leads us to the
Celebration of the Death & Resurrection of Jesus at Easter ~ our promise of eternal fulfillment.


For all of us, may Lent be a time to pray again as a family, a time to re-assess our own lives, to
care for body and soul, a time to reach out to people in need too.

During Lent, The Rosary will be recited20 minutes beforeSunday Mass in
Dromahair, Killaraue & Newtownmanor Churches ** for those who wish to participate.


Those leading the Rosary are asked to begin on time ~ that is 20 minutes before Mass 

This coming Friday evening, there will be Exposition 
Dromahair Church at 7.30pm followed by Mass at 8. 
And this coming Thursday Evening in Newtownmanor Church there will be 
at 7,30pm followed by Mass at 8.00pm.

7. A Light (hearted) Walk on Friday 1st March ~ leaving the Health Centre, Dromahair at 6.30pm and making its way 
through the village down to the Community Park: Individuals, young and old, families, groups and dubs are invited to take a stroll 
and enjoy the camaraderie, have a chat and reflect on life as the Light of Spring takes over from Winter darkness. Tea, Coffee & juice 
will be served so take along some biscuits or sandwiches to share. Please wear a high - vis jacket 
8. Dromahair Library ~ New Opening Hours: Tuesday 12,30pm - 6.00pm; Friday ~ usual times from 2.30pm - 8.00pm.
The Library doses for a short break each day between 4.00pm - 4.30pm.
9. A.S.I.S.T. ~ Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training: This course enhances people's skills to help those at risk to stay safe and 
seek further help. The next courses take place in Sligo on the 6th & 7th March and in Carrick-on-Shannon on the 20th & 21st March.

11. Leitrim Co. Council ~ Free Training and Further Education Expo and Seminar: Friday 8th March from 10.00am - 4.30pm in the 
Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon. This event is open to all but is geared especially to unemployed people seeking support for career 
and training options. It should also be of interest to second level students and parents. 
Speakers include: Nevin Maguire, Celebrity Chef & Entrepreneur, Mary Holohan, on Budgeting for Education, Ellen 
Gunning, PR Guru and Broadcaster on Presenting Your Best First Impression and many more.
