[A] Kilmore Priesthood Discernment Group: If you are discerning the diocesan priesthood, you are invited to join a 
few priests from our diocese and other men who are considering the priesthood for prayer, fellowship and a meal on 
Saturday 3rd October at 12 noon in Butlersbridge. The group will meet on the first Saturday of each month. Please

[B] Novena to Mary/ Untier of Knots ~ Begins on Monday 28th September next in the Cathedral of St. Patrick & St. 
Felim in Cavan for nine nights concluding Tuesday 6th October. Novena Mass each evening at 7.30pm except Sunday 
4th October when there will be Novena Devotions. Guest speaker each night including Fr. Peter McVerry Sj. Anointing 
of the Sick on Thursday 3rd October. This Novena is one of Pope Francis' favourites. The theme of this year's Novena 
is "Witnessing by doing Good". All welcome. 
[C] National Eucharistic Congress: This event takes place in Knock, Co. Mayo this weekend, Saturday 26th & 
Sunday 27th September 
Its theme ^Christ our /tope^invites us to think about hope in our lives. This week, take time to think about the 
moments when you were given reason to hope ~ perhaps what you needed came your way. 
Remember to be thankful! 

[D]The Knock Pilgrimage Season continues until Sunday 11th October. Public Ceremonies on Sundays are as
follows: Anointing of the Sick ~ 2.30pm; Con-celebrated Mass followed by Benediction of the
Sacrament, Rosary Procession to the Shrine & Blessing of Religious Objects ~ 3.00pm.

[E] Annual Novena to St. Therese ~ St. Therese's Church, Ballintogher: Continues until Friday 2nd October
commencing at 7.30pm each evening. The Novena has a good line up of speakers and all are very welcome.
[F] A.S.I.S.T ~ Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training: A Training Course developed for both members of the 
public and professionals and particularly those people whose work brings them into contact with people who may be 
vunerable or at risk of suicide. Forthcoming Training Dates: 17th & 18th November ~ ASIST ~ Mohill, Co. Leitrim. 
Training is from 9am - 5pm.

[G] SafeTalk ~ a half -day training programme that prepares participants to identify persons with thoughts 
of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. For more information and course dates and venues

[H] Friday next is theFirst Friday. Visitation of the sick and housebound will take place by arrangement All concerned 
will be contacted beforehand. 
[I] The Padre Pio group thank all who travelled to Knock for the Padre Pio week end. The Novena continues as usual on
the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in Killargue Church.
£J] Apostolic Work Society will hold a display of their work for the missions next Sat 3rd October in Killargue Church.

Clothing Collection Facility
There is a Clothes Bank / Container inside the Depot Gate.


If you have old clothes for disposal, why not bring them there. Your contribution will help the parish and various charities. 
Currently people are leaving out bags of clothes at their houses to be collected by purely commercial operators & they 
rarely help significantly any worthy cause ~ despite what a few advertise! 
And other clothes banks in the village contribute only a very small amount to the charities they advertise. 

Please do not bring books, toys or any items other than clothes
