[D] Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lough Derg for the Year of Faith ~ Tuesday August 27th from 9.00am - 4.00pm. This is a one day retreat for adults which does not require fasting or walking bare foot and is ideal for those who are unable to do the traditional three day pilgrimage. The cost of the pilgrimage is €40 but reductions in this cost may be available depending on the size of the group from the parish. The price includes boat, tea and coffee, services and lunch. Places must be secured by the parish on or before Friday 9th August. Come along and have lots of fun while helping a worthy cause! KiHardue Gathering On Thursday 15th August there will be Mass at the Holy Well at 6.00pm followed by a Social in the Community Centre. On Friday 16th August, there is a Race Night in Reynold's Public House at 9.00pm. On Saturday 17th August, there is the School Reunion starting at 9.00pm in the Community Centre. Former students of schools in the parish are all invited. Subscription €15. The Year of Faith will end on 24th November. It invites us to reflect on our journey of life. Your contribution will help the parish and various charities. Currently people are leaving out bags of clothes at their houses to be collected by purely commercial operators & they do not help any worthy cause ~ despite what they advertise! And other dothes banks in the village contribute only a very small amount to the charities they advertise. Please do not bring books, toys or any items other than clothes! Year of Faith 2013. It was hoped to run a bus to Croaah Patrick on 28th July ~ Reek Sunday. It will not now go ahead on that date due to a lack of interest. We may try again at a later date! Church Gate Collections.
