Visit of Eucharistic Congress Bell Thanks to the many people who generously volunteered in each church area and who participated in the associated liturgy. It wasa very good - humoured occasion with happy spiritual moments, hopefully a very pleasant experience! Sincere thanks to the local Garda Siochana as well! Preparations are now underway for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress which will take place in Dublin in June 2012. All large celebrations need extensive preparations and are expensive to stage. So your help is needed. The Third National Collection for the Congress will be taken UP after Communion at all Masses on the weekend of the 9th & 10th June 2011. Your support, especially in these difficult economic circumstances, is very much appreciated and will greatly help in making the Congressa national and international success. Each parish will be levied by Kilmore Diocese & the rate of probably 11% of the accumulated 2010 Parish Offertory Collections and should work out at €3,419 from Dromahair; €2,605 from Killargue & €2,037 from Newtownmanor. Killargue Cemetery: A further public meeting to form a graveyard committee will be held in Killargue Community Centre at 9,00pm on Tuesday 31st May 2011. Funds are available to further develop the graveyard ~ carry out maintenance and do necessary upkeep. It is important that all families in the area send a representative and take an interest in their burial ground as a mark of respect for deceased loved ones. The last meeting was very poorly attended. Hopefully there will be a better response on this occasion.
